    Mar 11, 2005, 1:40 PM EDT

Terrell Owens likes beer.. and twins.  I guess he was judging some Maxim hot female competition at Rain at the Palms in Vegas.  Coincidentally, I will be in Vegas next weekend for the opening rounds of March Madness.  Rain may be on the itinerary. Full Reports to follow.

  2. Support the Eagles with Beer

    Mar 11, 2005, 10:35 AM EDT

Beer is good.  So drink beer out of an Eagles pint glass to support your team.  Or, if you want to get really fancy, you can go with the Eagles Colonial Tankard. Cause really, who drinks beer out of anything but a Colonial Tankard.

  3. NFL Networks reported Eagles offered deal to Plax

    Mar 11, 2005, 9:06 AM EDT

The NFL Networks reported last night that the Eagles faxed a contract offer to Plaxico Burress.  Not much to report besides that.  Plaxico is in Minnesota today for a free agent visit. In more exciting news, the Eagles are close to a deal with Vince McMahon of the WWE. Link: Philadelphia Daily News | 03/11/2005…

  4. Reed can’t hop fences.

    Mar 10, 2005, 3:48 PM EDT

Bad new for the Birds. Link: Philadelphia Eagles. In shocking news, the career of Eagles safety J.R. Reed is suddenly at a very serious point. A non-football-related injury has him recovering from a nasty injury. Reed suffered a laceration to the back of his knee on February 22 while jumping over a fence near his…

  5. Burress Link

    Mar 10, 2005, 11:15 AM EDT

Here is an article which talks about where the idea of Burress coming to the Eagles came from.  I don’t think the Eagles will go for him, but I definately think he would be a big upgrade from Pinky. In other news the Colts are looking to trade Edge, one of the premier backs in…

  6. Ike is a Dirty Bird

    Mar 9, 2005, 4:09 PM EDT

Ike Reese has agreed to a 4 year deal with the Atlanta Falcons.  This almost assures that the Eagles will bring back Keith Adams.  They will still be a bit thin at LB, so they will have to either aquire a backup FA LB or go after a backer in the draft.  More pressure on…

  7. Eagles Cheerleader Tryouts: VIDEO

    Mar 9, 2005, 3:00 PM EDT

Some quality video here, and some hilarious answers as to why these young ladies want to be an Eagles Cheerleader!

  8. Webber gets BOOOOOED

    Mar 9, 2005, 12:34 PM EDT

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!    "This is Philadelphia, the toughest place in the world," said Allen Iverson, who scored 33 points with a franchise-record 12 turnovers. Link: FOXSports.com – NBA- Webber leaves quickly following sorry loss. PHILADELPHIA (AP) – There was Chris Webber sitting on the bench, boos serenading Philadelphia’s impact player and the Sixers trailing by double…

  9. Sixers pathetic

    Mar 9, 2005, 10:02 AM EDT

Sixers lost last night by 47 points.  I’m not writing about it because it was pathetic.

  10. Rumor: Plaxico to the Eagles?

    Mar 8, 2005, 3:13 PM EDT

The word on the streets is that Plaxico Burress may end up in Eagles green next season.  He skipped out on a meeting with the Giants due to flu like symptoms and the Vikings aren’t showing the interest he was expecting.  The Eagles front office has purportedly inquired about Plaxico’s asking price. Details to follow.

  11. Who’s the Scoop?

    Mar 8, 2005, 2:31 PM EDT

ESPN is introducing their new Page2 writer, Scoop Jackson.  Could someone please translate his first paragraph for me: They asked me to intro self. To take 900 words to explain I. Well, first off – I is not that important. I am just a writer from Slam, XXL, NBA and Nike who found his way…

  12. Comcast is looking to start

Comcast is looking to start a sports network to compete with ESPN. Lou Tiley will be the head of the line-up. Story linked below. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=517494

  13. Miami handles Sixers

    Mar 7, 2005, 10:19 PM EDT

Shaq and Dwayne Wade had their way with the Sixers Monday night in Miami throwing down 32 and 25 respectively.  They get my vote as the best duo in the NBA.  Dwayne Wade is going to be an elite player in the NBA for years and years to come.  Sammy Dalembert had a solid game…

  14. Schilling says Wade prevented him from wearing Phillies colors again

    Mar 7, 2005, 2:16 PM EDT

Curt Schilling recently made it known that the reason he ended up with Boston and not the Phillies was Ed Wade’s personal issues with the World Series Champion Schilling.  Schilling said if he had it his way he would have ended up back in Philadelphia to throw out the first ever pitch at Citizens Bank…

  15. Phillies fall to Boston in Florida

    Mar 7, 2005, 11:39 AM EDT

Phillies are off to a slow start this spring, losing yesterday to Boston.  Ryan Howard hit a bomb and continues to look good, too bad we likely won’t see much of him this year.  Pat "the bat" Burrell is off to a slow spring, hopefully he will pick it up. You can watch a clip…

  16. Mayberry gone; Reese likely gone

    Mar 7, 2005, 8:23 AM EDT

The Eagles are playing the salary cap game which they seem to do so well.  I’ll be sad to see Reese go.  He was a great special teamer, and a good presence in the locker room.  The Eagles seem to have a lot of faith in Mike Labinjo. Link: Philadelphia Inquirer | 03/06/2005 | Mayberry…

  17. Video: Bernard Hopkins on Best Damn

    Mar 5, 2005, 10:25 AM EDT

Philly’s only Champion, Bernard Hopkins, was on Fox’s Best Damn Sports show talking about a variety of things.  Among them were Hopkins thoughts on the Eagles losing the Superbowl; Hop put the blame squarely on the shoulders of a certain number five.  Hopkins was also on the cover of DUB magazine and was promoting the…

  18. Webber and Sixers bounce back against LeBron

    Mar 5, 2005, 1:08 AM EDT

The LeBron James show came to town last night, threw down a quiet 34, and left with a loss. Chris Webber bounced back after a few lack luster performances to lead the Sixers to a 98-89 win.  Apparently A.I. gave CWebb some encouraging words before the game to help him get his "swagger" back. Iguadola…

  19. Trotter Is an Eagle

    Mar 4, 2005, 2:17 PM EDT

Nice! Link: Philadelphia Eagles. The Jeremiah Trotter saga ended Friday afternoon with the linebacker agreeing to terms on a five-year contract with the team. "Philadelphia is my home and the Eagles are the team I want to be with," Trotter told PhiladelphiaEagles.com en route back from visits to Kansas City and Cincinnati.

Celtics get Payton Back: Insider info: “at the LM sales rally today, Joe Joe White and Doc Rivers both spoke. Doc confirmed that Gary Payton is coming back to Boston. Both he and his agent have committed to it, they’re just waiting for his name on the dotted line.” That trade was a steal for…

  21. Not much happening in FA

    Mar 3, 2005, 1:36 PM EDT

Not much happening in FA with the Eagles. There is word that they signed Hugh Douglas to the Vet. minimum. And also that Trot’s physical in K.C. wasn’t perfect.. they may be worried about his knees. I think Randy Moss will look good in Oakland Black.

  22. Mo Cheeks gets pink slip

    Mar 3, 2005, 8:01 AM EDT

One of my all time favorite Philadelphia athletes got fired yesterday.  Mo Cheeks is the now former coach of the Portland Trailblazers. I hope he ends up in the Sixer organization at some point, maybe as an assistant coach and eventually taking over the head role someday. I remember watching some sort of video of…

  23. Only in Pennsylvania

    Mar 3, 2005, 2:15 AM EDT

This story does not appear in The Onion, but rather over at ESPN.com.  Those friggin’ sports parents and their ordered hits.  They need to watch some more mob movies to learn how to get a job done right. In all seriousness, this is completely nuts: UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A T-ball coach charged with offering a…
