Good news! Ryan Howard's doctor has given him clearance to start exercising a bit -- running in a pool for instance.

Sometimes the smallest nugget of news can brighten a Philly sports fans’ cold January morning. Today, it’s news that Ryan Howard and his Achillies are progressing in the right direction and the foot and ankle specialist he saw gave the okay to start light exercise. Achillies in October, will start jogging underwater and is likely to
begin baseball activities within six weeks.”

Ruben Amaro Jr. called the progress, “good news.” We agree.
