Sometimes the smallest nugget of news can brighten a Philly sports fans' cold January morning. Today, it's news that Ryan Howard and his Achillies are progressing in the right direction and the foot and ankle specialist he saw gave the okay to start light exercise. From CSN, "The 32-year-old slugger, who had surgery to repair a ruptured left
Achillies in October, will start jogging underwater and is likely to
begin baseball activities within six weeks."

Ruben Amaro Jr. called the progress, "good news." We agree.
