Bad News: Freddy Galvis Could Miss Up to Two Months with Cracked Spine

Share

The Phillies may have beat the Orioles on Friday night down in Baltimore but they received what could be some real awful news following the game. CSN's Jim Salisbury reports that Freddy Galvis could see some considerable time on the DL after injuring his back, an initial prognosis of a Pars fracture in his lower spine, on Thursday afternoon.

Galvis will have a second opinion in the coming days. If he has
suffered a cracked spine, he could miss up to two months. A Pars
fracture is treated with rest and a back brace. “It’s serious,” Proefrock said. “It could keep him out for a considerable amount of time.” The tough road to the postseason just keeps getting tougher.
