Bored Baseball Fan Plays Baseball Video Game at Phillies Game

Aug 2, 2013, 11:33 AM EDT

source: I went to the Phillies game last night and I was pretty bored for most of the evening because it was a boring baseball game. But I wasn’t bored enough to take out my iPhone and start playing baseball video games. This youngster played a baseball video game for a good couple innings but then switched it up to some SimCity looking jawn after that. And yes, I was bored enough to video tape it.

See Deadspin’s Bored Fan Series here

As for the most exciting moment of the game? That would be when Brad Lidge ran in from the bullpen one last time prior to throwing out the first pitch. Pretty cool moment.

What game is this? I want to download it to play the next time I go to a Phillies game.

Here’s more proof:

I disagree that a game that was 1-0 for eight innings with lots of close calls and excellent pitching is boring, and the last two innings were full of action. I’ve lost all hope for the season, but was pretty entertained by that game.

I’m all for pitcher’s duels, but not when the teams are awful in August.

I’ll bet he can get a runner in from 2B w/ less than 2 Outs.

Does anybody else find it creepy that Enrico was watching and video taping a little boy playing on his iPhone?

I was thinking the same thing. I realize that we live in a social media world, where some people feel the need to record or document EVERYTHING 24/7, but this is just downright weird. Dude, you might want to seek help. It’s a kid.

I will seek help. Thank you. Also, this was all tongue in cheek based off of the aforelinked Deadspin posts.

Not creepy at all, but some downblouse woulda been cool.

      • Hiccup - Aug 3, 2013 at 5:48 AM

        Tongue in cheek please.

My friend was doing the same and it was in the Diamond Club. He was playing Farmville. I was stunned.

That’s the picture I tweeted last night.
