Charlie Manuel Sitting Front Row for Monday Night RAW

The WWE came to town last night, holding their prestigious
Slammy Awards show at the Wells Fargo Center. John Cena won Superstar of the
Year, while the legendary Ric Flair paid the squared circle a visit, and talked
up the city of Philadelphia quite a bit we’ll add.

As you can see from the photograph though, the Nature Boy
wasn’t the only guest of honor in attendance.

Courtesy of reader and friend of TheLevel, TH — the founder of and force behind The Wrestling Blog — here’s Charlie Manuel
seated directly behind
his good buddy and television broadcaster Jerry “The King”
Lawler, proving true the age-old adage that it’s good to be in the king’s good
graces. Or maybe I just made that up — not sure.

Charlie’s affinity for professional wrestling is well
documented. During the lead up to RAW’s 1,000th episode this summer,
Lawler shared a story about Manuel kicking scouts out of his office during his
Cleveland Indians days so the two could discuss Stone Cold Steve Austin. Last
year, we caught wind of the Phillies' manager meeting WWE Champion CM Punk at Wrigley
Field.

Meanwhile, no official word on that heel turn for Charlie that's rumored to be in the works.
