Chipper Jones On Phillies' Greatness

Share

Chipper Jones may be despised by many Phillies fans, but it's hard not to recognize the guy has had an amazing career and knows a thing or two about baseball.

With the Braves trailing the Phillies by a whopping 9.5 games in the East entering Sunday's action, Chipper had some high praise for the Phils.

“The Phillies are as good as any team I’ve seen. I’d put them up against
any of those Yankees clubs of the late ’90s and early 2000s. That club
has got it going on and they are flat out playing like it, day in and
day out.”

The quote comes from MLB.com Braves beat writer Mark Bowman via Todd Zolecki's blog.

While it's certainly high praise from one of the game's greats, the first comment on the Zo Zone added to the enjoyment even more.
