Chooch to Catch R.A. Dickey in All-Star Game

Catching a knuckleball is often challenging so you want to put the most skilled of glovesman on the task. That's why National League All-Star Manager Tony La Russa has put the job of catching New York Mets knuckler R.A. Dickey on the shoulders of Carlos Ruiz.

Well, that and La Russa opted to go with Matt Cain as the team’s starter tomorrow night and thought it’d make sense to pair him with his usual battery mate Buster Posey.

Chooch will warm up with Dickey in the bullpen as to get familiar with the quirky stylings of that goofy pitch. That also means you could see Ruiz later in the game for some at-bat heroics.
