Day Game: What Shade of Red Will Roy Halladay Turn Today?

Share

The Phillies finish up their series in Cincinnati this afternoon with an early 12:35 start time. Roy Halladay returns to the hill after having his shortest start last Friday in Atlanta since returning from the DL. It was one of those starts where Doc looked gassed with every pitch and eventually gave up a couple of homers to Martin Prado and Freddie Freeman that got him pulled. After the game we learned that Roy was battling some sort of bug and didn't have his legs under him. Tough to be a successful major league pitcher in such circumstances. Wondering what shade of red Halladay will turn on the mound today in Cincy…

Halladay (8-7, 4.02) will face right-hander Mike Leake (7-8, 4.45) this afternoon at Great American Ball Park. The Phillies had quite a bit of success against Leake when they faced him two weeks ago in Philly, knocking him around for 7 runs en route to a 12-5 Phils victory.

Charlie's Nine Today: 1 Rollins, 2 Pierre, 3 Utley, 4 Howard, 5 Mayberry, 6 Brown, 7 Kratz, 8 Martinez (3B), 9 Halladay

12:35 start time today before an off day on Thursday and back at the Bank on Friday against the lowly Rockies. Hey, at least this gives you an office alternative to Pandora.
