‘Duck Dynasty' can actually cheer up a pitcher who gave up back-to-back-to-back jacks

B.J. Rosenberg accomplished the uber rare feat of facing three batters on Monday evening and allowing each of them to deposit a ball in the outfield seats. That does not happen everyday.

So how did Rosenberg cope with being one of the goats in the Phillies loss?

The Inquirer's Matt Gelb put on his reporting hat and found out.

B.J. Rosenberg retreated early Tuesday morning to his South Jersey residence, turned on the TV, and flipped to A&E. The channel showed two hours of Duck Dynasty repeats.

"I stayed away from all the sports networks," the Phillies pitcher said. This was catharsis.

Rosenberg had actually been solid for Ryne Sandberg out of the pen over the weekend and Monday may have been a case of simply being too gassed and not knowing it before hand.

This is typically where I'd end with a Duck Dynasty joke but I've never seen the show. Maybe I should start watching it after every game in which the Phillies need to use their pen.
