Joe Blanton Compliments Phillies Fans for Being Way Better Booers Than Dodgers Fans

Share

Joe Blanton is known to get roughed up from time to time when starting at pitcher for a professional baseball team. It's happened in Oakland, it's happened in Philly, and now it's happened in Los Angeles.

But Joe knows serious booing when he hears it, and sorry L.A., even your booing sucks.

From the L.A. Times on Blanton's poor performance on Tuesday night:

Blanton departed from the field to the collective boos of
the 56,000 fans who were drawn to Dodger Stadium by a bobblehead
promotion featuring Fernando Valenzuela. … He didn’t appear bothered by
the hostile send-off he received from his new home fans, who watched
their team fall to the Giants twice in as many days.

“I’ve played in Philly,” Blanton said. “That’s nothing.”

Thanks, Joe. We miss you too.
