We brought you a solid look at the job Cliff Lee did late last night but we stumbled upon one more stat we'd like to point out to you. ESPN's John Buccigross notes that Cliff Lee's 10 scoreless innings of work against the Giants on Wednesday was the first time a pitcher had thrown 10 scoreless innings in a game in which his team lost since Bret Saberhagen did it way back in 1994. I was 13-years old then and thought Bret Saberhagen had the most awesome baseball name.
Lee's response to the Phillies' bats failing to get a single run across for him?
"That's baseball."
