The Phillies avoided having to go to arbitration with Hunter Pence by inking the lanky right-fielder to a one year, $10.4 million deal.

The Phillies avoided having to go to arbitration with Hunter Pence by inking the lanky right-fielder to a one year, $10.4 million deal.

The $10.4 is just about halfway between what Pence had asked for and what the Phillies had offered. The bottom line, it’s good to see both sides happy with an agreement in the middle.
