Phillies confirm Shake Shack letter attributed to Sandberg posted on website about visiting zoo with Roy Halladay was satire

Sometimes the Internet is a beautiful place.

A quick recap to get you caught up: a website called "Zoo with Roy" -- the Internet's most prominent website dedicated to visiting the zoo with former Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay -- posted an article written by Phillies Manager "Ryne Sandberg" addressed to whomever it may concern. It was in reference to the report that a Shake Shack cheeseburger made Sandberg sick on a recent trip to play the Mets at CitiField in New York. The letter was laced with nuggets of wisdom regarding the issues that come along with managing an organization that may not always have the best ingredients in place to put together a top quality product, regardless of the cost involved.

It was satire and it was brilliant. The Internet laughed.

Darren Rovell, ESPN's leading Tweeter, apparently reached out to the Phillies organization to determine whether the letter posted on ZooWithRoy.com was actually penned by the real Ryne Sandberg. The Phillies confirmed what everyone not named Darren Rovell knew all along, that the letter was not actually written by Hall of Fame second baseman and current Manager of the Philadelphia Phillies, Ryne Sandberg.

The end.
