Phils Shooting for Six Straight Tonight with Cliff Lee on the Bump vs. Brewers

Share

As you can see out your window it's a good night to stay in and watch Cliff Lee at work. The Phils' ace that they should never trade ever will take on the Brewers in Milwaukee and face reliever-turned-starter-for-a-while Aldredo Figaro who is making just his second start of the season.

Charlie Manuel is once again going with Michael Young at the top of his batting order and John Mayberry Jr. in the two hole. Hey, it worked last night. Why not ride it?

The Phils will hope Cliff Lee remains red hot this evening but he doesn't have the best track record at Miller Park:

Miller Park hasn’t been kind to the lefty over the years. He’s never won there and has a 4.79 ERA in three starts, with five homers allowed in 20 2/3 innings.

Ryan Braun, Aramis Ramirez and Carlos Gomez have done the most damage against Lee. Braun is 9 for 19 (.474) with three solo homers; Ramirez has three homers of his own in 16 at-bats; and Gomez has hit .310 with a pair of jacks.

It's an 8:10 start time from Miller Park. Enjoy the weekend.
