Placido Polanco Wins Gold Glove

Share

Placido Polanco wins his third career Gold Glove, but his first over at third base, and first in the National League. He was the only selection from the Phillies. Tough end to the season due to injury, but this award serves as a nice reminder that he's still one of the better options in baseball when healthy. Ryan Lawrence points out that Polly's also the first player to ever win a Gold Glove at two different infield positions.

Also of note, Shane Victorino's run of three consecutive Gold Gloves in center field is now over.
