After Milwaukee Brewer Carlos Gomez rounded the entire base paths after bashing a ball deep down the left field line yesterday, thinking the foul ball was actually a home run, many people quipped about how they'd never seen anything like that.
Shane Victorino would like to remind you of that time he played a rehab game in Trenton (video) and ripped a ball of his own down the left field line thinking it was a home run.

Now, Gomez' gaffe clearly one ups Victorino's, although Shane standing dumbfounded halfway between third and home is a much better reaction. Gomez's trot was at the major-league level and in front of 44,000 fans while Vic's was mostly forgotten.
Oh, and Gomez struck out on the next pitch.
