History Lesson: The Sixers and Celtics Play a Game 7 at the Garden Tomorrow

The Boston Strangler, AP

When you think classic Sixers rivalries there's no doubt you think Sixers-Celtics, but like all but two of the Sixers' current players, most of my generation can't remember a Game 7 between Boston and Philadelphia.

Only Elton Brand and Tony Battie were even alive for a Sixers-Celtics Game 7. So it's safe to say that despite the storied history, a lot of us aren't real familiar with the details of it.

John Finger over at CSN does a nice job running through all of the final decisive games between these two franchises over the years.  From the "Havlicek stole the ball!" game to Andrew Toney transforming into the Boston Strangler, it's some history any Philly hoops fan should read up on.

Who knew World B. Free was actually a decent basketball player and not some guy who wore crazy suits?! (Kidding)

And of course we'll get our very own chapter added to the storied rivalry tomorrow night in Boston. Let's go, Philly.
