Jrue Finishes in 2nd at Skills Competition, Sixers Just Not Meant to Win Crap This Year

Share

Respect to Jrue for representing the Sixers well at the Taco Bell Skills
Competition this year. He beasted the first round of the Skills
Challenge, finishing it in a second-best 29 seconds, but ran into a
buzzsaw in Damian Lillard, who beat him by less than a second than a
first round. In the second round, Jrue missed his first few jumpers from
the top of the key—always the biggest land mine in the Skills
Competition—while Lillard hit his first, all but assuring him the
overall victory. In the end, perhaps Lillard just wanted it more.

Love
and respect always, though, Jrue. You acquitted yourself admirably and
came closer to actually winning something than anyone else on the Sixers
will all year. Have fun at the All-Star Game proper tomorrow night, and
enjoy one of those Doritos Tacos for us tonight.
