Note to NBA GMs, Evan Turner or Spencer Hawes can be yours for the right price

There have been plenty of rumblings about Evan Turner on the trade market over the past few weeks, but we haven't heard a ton of rumors with Spencer Hawes' name on them just yet.

Hidden at the bottom of a Marc Stein piece over at ESPN (via PBT) is word that yes, Sam Hinkie is still holding out hope for a first rounder for either of those two players.

The Sixers, sources say, continue to hold out hope that they can acquire a future first-round pick for either forward Evan Turner or center Spencer Hawes before the Feb. 20 trade deadline. Both players become free agents in July.

It makes sense, obviously, that they're holding out hope that they could get a first rounder for either player. That doesn't mean they will. Turner's contract situation isn't helping the Sixers on getting a nice return.

One person we spoke to recently who follows these things closely says he wouldn't be shocked if the Sixers don't make a deal for Turner at all and he ends up walking at the end of the season.
