That Mitt Romney 47 Percent Video Filmed at Sixers Co-Owner’s House

Sep 18, 2012, 12:15 PM EDT

There’s a Philadelphia sports tie in to that Mitt Romney 47% video that’s sure to be the highlight of tonight’s Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

According to and Mother Jones, the site that released the video, the fundraiser Mitt Romney was at when the video was made was hosted by Financier and generally wild party guy Mark Leder, who also happens to be a part of the 76ers ownership group.

Here’s how the Inquirer report describes Leder’s business:

Leder’s company, Sun Capital, is a buyout, or private equity firm
based in Boca Raton. It buys troubled companies at discount prices,
consolidates or sell operations, lays people off, and tries to repackage
and re-sell what’s left at a profit.

Troubled company. Cuts people. Repackage. Trade.

Sounds familiar.

Have fun talking politics in the comment section! And yes, the Sixers ownership group has like 47 bajillion members it seems.
