What happens on April 4th, 2014?

On Sunday, Sixers rookie Nerlens Noel tweeted a single date: 4-4-14.

Twitter, immediately, was abuzz. What could it mean? Is Noel -- who hasn't yet suited up for an NBA game because of the torn ACL he suffered last year -- plotting to finally play that day? The Sixers take on his hometown Boston Celtics that night.

Predictably, the tweet has already been RT'd more than 1,600 times.

Brett Brown was asked about it and basically said he had no idea what the tweet meant.

But let's say Noel isn't going to play against the Celtics (we have every reason to believe he won't). What else could it be?

In an effort to get to the bottom of it, we decided to dig deep into all the other possibilities. Turns out, there's plenty Noel could be excited about on April 4. Here's a list of the possibilities:

- International Day for Landmine Awareness and Assistance

- 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' will be released

- Lady Gaga plays a concert in New York

- The Sixers play the Celtics in Boston

- 'The Elder Scrolls' launches online

- Independence Day in Senegal

- Hug A Newsman Day

- National Tell a Lie Day

- National Walk to Work Day

- Phillies @ Cubs

- Vitamin C Day

- World Rat Day

In truth, fans of the 19-year-old offered a pretty logical suggestion: April 4 is when the film "Captain America: The Winter Solider" comes out. Like many teenagers, he's probably excited for the movie and some popcorn. And ScarJo, obviously.

But it's pretty fun to imagine him getting psyched for "National Hug A Newsman Day," isn't it? Especially in this town.
