  4. It’s A Big Three Weekend: Halladay Up First

    Jun 10, 2011, 1:14 PM EDT

Sure, the pitching isn’t going to solve any of the offensive woes, but it’s still awfully nice to know our rotation this weekend will consist of Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, and Roy Oswalt. Tonight’s match up faces Carlos Zambrano (5-2, 3.98) and his “We Stinks” attitude against Roy Halladay (8-3, 2.56) who looks to become…

  9. This Guy Kept A Vet Stadium Hot Dog

    Jun 9, 2011, 3:03 PM EDT

Not surprisingly, the man bought eight hot dogs at the Phillies game on June 6, 2003 at Veterans Stadium, but decided to take the final wiener home to eat as a snack later. He never devoured it and instead has kept the hot dog in his freezer despite moving multiple times.

  11. Video: Charlie Manuel Has Seen Cole Hamels with His Shirt Off

    Jun 9, 2011, 12:34 AM EDT

“He’s bigger than he used to be. If you see him with his shirt and stuff off, he’s developing into a man.” /chuckles [video here]

  12. Cole Hamels Aced, Ryan Howard Hit One Ball Far, Phillies Won 2-0

    Jun 8, 2011, 9:50 PM EDT

Without their two stud middle-infielders, the Phillies got some help from their role players, but mostly it was Ryan Howard and Cole Hamels who fueled their 2-0 win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

  14. Shane Victorino Always Brings Hula Girls with Him to the Mall

    Jun 8, 2011, 4:24 PM EDT

Of course Shane Victorino brings a gaggle of hula girls with him to the mall. My only question: when did Modell’s start selling Affliction gear? [video below] Whatever happened to “no shirt, no shoes, no service?” Also, the Modell’s in the King of Prussia Mall has apparently moved locations in case you were in search…

    Jun 8, 2011, 3:32 PM EDT

The Phillies will be without their All-Star middle infield tandem this evening as Chase Utley gets an off-day after making five straight starts and Jimmy Rollins sits with his bruised knee. Jun 7, 2011, 11:17 PM EDT

The Phillies play an all around ugly game against the Dodgers and Charlie Manuel says as much afterwards. Roy Oswalt wasn’t great, but the defense was just as bad if not worse and the timely hitting was not existent.

  20. Reminder: Cliff Lee Can DEAL Plus: Phils Draft OF Greene

    Jun 6, 2011, 11:08 PM EDT

After giving up a total of 10 earned runs over his previous two starts, Cliff Lee took the mound against the Dodgers on Monday night looking for a stellar performance. The offense behind him needed that as well, looking limp overall lately and not much better in the series opener with the Dodgers. Fortunately, Lee came to the park ready to handle LA’s lineup, and the Phils’ offense put up just enough support for a 3-1 win.

  21. Phils Return Home to Take On Dodgers as Lee Faces Lilly

    Jun 6, 2011, 5:05 PM EDT

  23. Please Do Not Get Swept by the Pirates.

    Jun 5, 2011, 12:45 PM EDT

The Phils and Bucs get underway at 1:35 today, with Roy Halladay facing righty James McDonald. For the Pirates, a rare moment at .500 in June is on the line. For the Phillies, a possible sweep at the hands of a team for which being .500 in June is a big deal. Dunno what it is, but the Phils just don’t play well at all in Pittsburgh, which has to particularly suck for the many fans who traverse the state to see a very nice park and presumably a few Phillies road wins.

  24. Pirates. Again.

    Jun 4, 2011, 11:37 PM EDT

Anyone know when the Pirates are going to trade that Andrew McCutchen guy? [full recap]
