  1. You Can Now See Exactly Where Your Sixers Tickets Are Located Before You Purchase Them

    Sep 27, 2012, 11:04 AM EDT

There’s no debating the effort the Sixers new ownership, seen mostly through the work of new CEO Adam Aron, have put in to make everything about the fan experience at the Wells Fargo Center as polished as possible.

That said, every decision they make is not going to be as groundbreaking as seeing a bunny mascot sent to pasture. One of the new minor additions that appears recently implemented is the ability to see exactly where the seats you are about to purchase are located within the building in relation to the court.

  2. Andrew Bynum Is a Better Center Than Dwight Howard, Says Newest Sixer

    Sep 26, 2012, 1:18 PM EDT

The Sixers introduced their newest guard-forward on Tuesday at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and the sound bite that caught the most fire on the Internet and sports radio airwaves was his declaration that his new teammate, Andrew Bynum, is the best center in the NBA.

Yes, better even than former Orlando Magic and current Los Angeles Lakers star Dwight Howard.

  3. Saturday Night Live’s Stephen A. Smith on Tim Tebow Was Pretty Good

    Sep 24, 2012, 2:12 PM EDT

Saturday Night Live shook things up this season by passing the Barack Obama torch from Fred Armisen to Jay Pharoah to mixed results. While Pharoah’s Obama impression may need some work, his Stephen A. Smith is pretty damn on point. It’s probably a whole lot easier when someone so closely resembles a cartoon in real life anyway.

On the most recent episode of SNL that aired this past weekend, Stephen A. Smith was a guest on Weekend Update to weigh in on his very good friend and quarterback of the New York Jets, Tim Tebow.

  4. Andrew Bynum to Throw Out Ceremonial First Pitch at Sunday’s Phillies-Braves Game

    Sep 20, 2012, 3:51 PM EDT

The Phillies will kick off their final homestand of the 2012 season tomorrow by welcoming the Atlanta Braves to town followed by a three-game set with the Washington Nationals beginning on Tuesday. Aside from the obvious potential playoff implications — in addition to all of the delectable food and drink options — there are still plenty of other reasons to get to Citizens Bank Park over the next week.

  5. Win a Spot on The700Level’s Team for Major League Bocce’s Fall League

    Sep 20, 2012, 12:19 PM EDT

We’re excited to team up with Major League Bocce to play in their fall league in the coming weeks with games taking place right in Center City. Not only will The700Level have our own team playing in the league, but we’ll also be running a photo contest for one winner and a friend to actually be our teammates and play all season for free.

We’ll be kicking things off at a happy hour with MLB a week from today — Thursday, September 27th — at the Field House by the Convention Center with specials from MLB’s official beer sponsor, Dogfish Head Brewery — $4 Punkin’ Ale and 60 Minute IPA drafts. The Fieldhouse is where the fall league games will be played and you can get a chance to see how the indoor bocce courts inside of a bar work. Hint: they’re right next to the bar. And you’re encouraged to come out on Thursday and meet some of the Level contributors and buy me as many Punkin’ Ales as I can drink. Seriously, come out and have a few cold ones and lament the death of the 2012 Phillies with us.

  6. That Mitt Romney 47 Percent Video Filmed at Sixers Co-Owner’s House

    Sep 18, 2012, 12:15 PM EDT

There’s a Philadelphia sports tie in to that Mitt Romney 47% video that’s sure to be the highlight of tonight’s Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

According to and Mother Jones, the site that released the video, the fundraiser Mitt Romney was at when the video was made was hosted by Financier and generally wild party guy Marc Leder, who also happens to be a part of the 76ers ownership group.

  7. Sixers to Honor Syracuse Roots by Playing Knicks at Carrier Dome in Preseason

    Sep 14, 2012, 4:30 PM EDT

Adam Aron and the Sixers like mixing things up, that’s for sure.

In addition to playing the New Jersey Nets at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the Sixers will also honor their roots by playing a preseason game against the New York Knicks at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, New York.

  8. Exactly What Needs to Happen for Jrue Holiday to Win NBA MVP This Season?

    Sep 11, 2012, 1:06 PM EDT

Friend of the Level and Sixers blogger Michael Levin takes a detailed look at what needs to happen around the NBA this season for Jrue Holiday to be named the 2012-13 NBA MVP. Why would he do that you ask? Because some people are actually throwing the Damaja’s name out there as a dark horse candidate for the honor.

  9. Doug Collins Says Final Two Starters Behind Jrue, Evan, and Bynum Are TBD

    Sep 11, 2012, 11:14 AM EDT

Dei Lynam caught up with Sixers Head Coach Doug Collins at the Coaches vs. Cancer golf outing the other day and talked a bit more about the upcoming season. Doug, who may have had a hand in molding Michael Jordan’s style choices, is excited to prepare for a different kind of camp with so many new faces this season.

One of the more interesting questions Dei asks Doug is how he plans to tinker with his rotation this season and Collins admits he’s not sure how all of the pieces will fit together.

  10. Andrew Bynum Is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

    Sep 10, 2012, 1:09 PM EDT

    Except in reverse.

Or maybe Moses Malone is the Fresh Prince and Bynum is Carlton?

I’m not sure what this Dime Mag piece is trying to say exactly, but they like Andrew Bynum on the Sixers a whole lot and they equate his move across the country to that of Will Smith’s on a television show from the 90s.

  11. ESPN Metrics Rank Sixers 21st Best Franchise in Sports, Top in Town

    Sep 7, 2012, 1:50 PM EDT

It’s kind of a flawed list considering where one of Philadelphia’s other teams sits in the pack, but your 76ers are earning some national love. So they’ve got that going for them, which is nice.

  12. Allen Iverson Finally Appears Set to Hoop It Up in China

    Sep 6, 2012, 4:41 PM EDT

We’ll never tire of hearing about the post-NBA life/career of former Sixers legend Allen Iverson. Whether it’s his exploits in Turkey or his failed attempts to get back into the League, we still love hearing about what A.I. is up to at the moment.

According to basketball blog Rush’N Hoops, Iverson is finally set to play some ball in China.

  13. Lavoy Allen’s Meteoric Rise in the NBA Player Rankings

    Aug 30, 2012, 2:35 PM EDT

You may recall after Allen showed up big time against the Celtics this postseason that Truehoop’s Henry Abbott extended an apology to Lavoy. Instead of accepting the apology, Lavoy actually thanked Abbott for putting him at the nice even mark of No. 500 at the end of the list because he could use that as motivation.

Well, ESPN isn’t putting him last this season. Lavoy jumped a couple of hundred spots to come in at No. 232!

    Aug 30, 2012, 11:23 AM EDT

Here’s an amazing video of Sir Charles Barkley singing Boyz II Men’s “End of the Road” at what appears to be some sort of karaoke bar only to have the Boyz from Philly themselves come up to help him out a bit. It’s pretty awesome.

  15. Swag Watch: With Iguodala Gone, Evan Turner Ready to Step Up

    Aug 22, 2012, 11:26 AM EDT

Evan Turner was in Atlantic City on Tuesday as the Sixers unveiled their plans to play the Brooklyn Nets at Boardwalk Hall during the preseason. Dei Lynam caught up with ET to get his first on-camera thoughts about the big Andrew Bynum-Andre Iguodala trade that was recently pulled off by Rod Thorn. Evan seems excited about playing with one of the best centers in the game, and with the departure of his pal Iguodala, the Kid ET will likely see more minutes. And Evan says he’ll now hold the crown for best swag on the team. [video below]

    Aug 20, 2012, 3:26 PM EDT

Here’s a video of Skip Bayless and Stephen A. Smith arguing about that quote from last week about Doc Rivers saying that the only low-post guy he really fears is Andrew Bynum.

  18. What’s Evan Tweeting? @themanET Edition

    Aug 20, 2012, 2:08 AM EDT

It’s a long NBA off-season, and while Andrew Bynum is busy running up and down the Rocky steps like he’s always dreamed, the other Philadelphia 76ers only know one way of coping with the spare time and restlessness: Endless tweeting. Most notably, Evan Turner, Twitter team MVP for each of his two seasons as a Liberty Baller (with no threat to the throne coming anytime soon), takes to social media to share his thoughts on life, love, the pursuit of happiness and J. Cole song lyrics.

  22. To the Faithful Departed: Andre Iguodala

    Aug 16, 2012, 10:54 AM EDT

This week, I’ll be saying a proper goodbye to some longtime Sixers players that won’t be suiting up in the Red, White and Blue next season. Today: Andre Iguodala, traded to Denver as part of the deal for Andrew Bynum and Jason Richardson.

  23. Andrew Bynum’s Public Welcome to Philly Presser Was a Circus (But the Circus Is Awfully Fun)

    Aug 15, 2012, 3:24 PM EDT

The whole scene at the National Constitution Center was a bit surreal on Wednesday afternoon. Andrew Bynum literally met Sixers Head Coach Doug Collins for the first time earlier in the morning. Just hours later, surrounded by screaming Sixers fans, Bynum was actually asked — by a reporter, no less — if he could envision what a parade down Broad Street would be like.

  24. Bynum: ‘I’m Leaning Towards Making This My Home.’

    Aug 15, 2012, 2:18 PM EDT

By “this,” Andrew Bynum means “here,” as in “Philly,” with “the Sixers.”
