Chip Kelly Says No to the Eagles Job

Share

Word broke late last night that the man atop the Eagles' list to replace Andy Reid would not be coming to Philadelphia, even after a 7+ hour marathon lunch/dinner date/interview over the weekend. Chip Kelly decided on Sunday to keep his talents in the college ranks and return to coach his Oregon Ducks.

So where does that leave the Eagles?

They had a much shorter meeting with Denver's Mike McCoy over the weekend. And he appears to be near the top of their list.

It's been reported that the Eagles will also meet with Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley this week. More on those two guys here. Bradley's Seahawks impressed yesterday in their win over the Redskins after a shaky first quarter.

One guy that they won't be hiring is Syracuse's Doug Marrone who is staying in-state to take over as the Buffalo Bills head coach.

What are your thoughts on the Birds missing out on O'Brien, Kelly, and Marrone? Who do you desire at this point to fill Andy's big shoes in South Philly?
