Report: Mike Vick to miss Sunday’s start against Tampa

Mike Vick’s hamstring issues are expected to keep him out of Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Bucs, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Nick Foles, who came in and helped the team earn the victory up in New York yesterday, will step in and take the starting role.

Vick not being able to go eases the “QB controversy” debate just a little. It does seem a little curious that the team already knows on Monday that Vick will not be able to go next weekend. Does that mean Vick’s injury is pretty serious or is the team just being cautious and getting Foles the bulk of the work in practice this week?

Or, the Eagles could be looking at the opponent and thinking it’s not worth putting a Michael Vick who isn’t 100% out on the field regardless. Nick Foles can beat Tampa.

not if they can pick up a few pieces on defense in the off-season via draft or free agency. his offense works well enough to buy him a few years, and if the defense can make their way into the top half of the league, chip will be a winning coach.

if we have learned anything about chip kelly so far, it is that he is confident (cocky?). paragraph 3 of this article is clearly the explanation here.
