When the NHL's Winter Classic Alumni Game rosters were announced, there was plenty to be excited about in the Flyers' lineup. True to organizational form, that excitement did not extend to the goaltending position, where Neil Little and Mark LaForest were the only named goalies.
However, the team has announced that two of its three legendary goalies will now be on hand, with one of them even suiting up. Ron Hextall's back won't allow him to play, but he'll be at Citizens Bank Park as an ambassador (badassador?). Too bad we won't have the opportunity to see him take a shot on John Vanbiesbrouck, but glad to have him on hand. Bernie Parent, on the other hand, will suit up and play in the game. How awesome is that?
