Flyers rookie camp officially gets underway Friday, but some of the players are already on the ice in Voorhees — including Danny Briere.

Briere was amnestied by the Flyers along with Ilya Bryzgalov earlier this summer so that the Flyers could clear the remaining two years of his $6.5 million cap hit off their books.

The soon-to-be-36-year-old later came to an agreement on two-year, $8 million deal with the Canadiens so that the fans in Montreal could finally stop booing him. (Briere famously turned down the Habs back in 2007, opting to sign with the Flyers instead.)

He’s still skating in Vorhees, but he’s wearing different colors now:

Headline should be ‘Sam CarChidi Learns How To Use Camera Phone!”

His kids are still there, remember. He said he’s training there so he can spend as much time with them as he can before he has to go to Habs camp. Not a big deal.

“not a big deal.” value added. Thank god you were here to set us straight.
