Rob Zombie Stops by DNL to Talk About His Upcoming Feature-Length Film on the Broad Street Bullies

Feb 6, 2013, 2:04 PM EDT

Musician-turned-film director/producer/screenwriter Rob
Zombie is in Philadelphia for awhile to begin preparations for production of his
upcoming project, a feature-length movie about the Broad Street Bullies. He
visited the Flyers’ locker room ahead of their big win over the Tampa Bay
Lightning on Tuesday night (Zombie with the assist?) before stopping by the set
of Daily News Live to talk about the film, his love of hockey, the legend of
the Bullies… and a few off-color topics as well.

At 12 minutes the interview falls on the lengthy side, but after
watching it was hard to come away with any feeling other than this project is
in the right hands – even if Zombie did grow up a Bruins fan. He does not expect shooting to even begin until Fall 2014 though, so unfortunately there
is still a long wait ahead of us.

And if you happen see a character in town that looks a lot
like Rob Zombie, that’s because it probably is
Rob Zombie. He’s setting up camp in Philadelphia “for awhile” on what he
describes as a fact-finding mission about the city and its people. This flick is gonna rock.
