Philly has really embraced Hartnell this year, not coincidentally, a career year for the curly-haired Flyer. He’s had some ups and downs over his career but usually finds a way to get some goals, just never at this rate.

Pairing him up with Jaromir Jagr and Claude Giroux has done wonders for his goal tally. That and his embrace of social media, including the somewhat mocking #HartnellDown tag, have shown fans league-wide what his teammates have always known. Harts is one of the more enjoyable guys around.

With an All-Star nod possible, all he did was go out and score five goals in two games over the weekend.

A well-deserved honor for one of the fan favorites in orange and black this season.

UPDATE: Per Tim Panotch, the Flyers have confirmed Hartsy got the invite.
