Donovan McNabb will return to Philly tonight: do you think he’ll get a reaction from the crowd? Your Thoughts?

MCNABB TSEU AP

No, that post title is not a @DonovanJMcNabb tweet. But it probably could be.

McNabb is back in town and he’s still the same old Donovan as demonstrated by some fantastic tweets by CSN Eagles scribe Reuben Frank last night.

Let’s start with the soft stuff:

And then move along to the really hilarious back-to-back quotes:

Here are consecutive quotes from Donovan McNabb tonight when asked tonight about Chip Kelly’s offense:

1) “I don’t know if any offensive player would want to run 90 plays in a game.”

2) “Everyone wants to run 90 plays.”

Love you, Donnie.

As for the full interview in context, you can check out Roob’s piece here. Spoiler: Five thinks the read option is just a fad.

As for McNabb’s Twitter, it’s sadly been quiet since Tuesday.

I think a lot of his reception depends on how the first half goes. They’ll probably have tributes for him before/during the game, but to have him paraded out at halftime is perfect for the fans looking to vent if the game’s ugly in the early stages.

With no context, though, I think he gets the same reception he did when he returned as a Redskin — polite, not overwhelming, cheers that are more audible than a handful of boos.
