source: NBC executives are probably a lot like you. They want to watch Shady McCoy play football as much as possible.

It was announced during halftime of the Eagles vs. Bears games tonight on NBC that the Birds’ game next Sunday against the Cowboys will be flexed to the prime time slot on Sunday Night Football.

The game at Dallas next Sunday will determine which team wins the NFC East crown. The loser’s season is over.

The Eagles looked fantastic in the first half against the Bears, leading Chicago 24-3 at the midway point.

Hmmm interesting – so where does this put the most pressure? On one hand its gonna be Dallas Dallas Dallas all week (coaches fired if they lose, Romo sucks under pressure, blah blah blah). On the other hand after this severe beat down the media will be calling this game for the Birds all week… and as Cary Williams pointed out, our team doesn’t respond really well to that stuff. I guess we should be happy how Chip’s first year is going to end no matter what but I can’t say I love being flex’d two weeks in a row.

Also I think CHI and GB fanbases could say they deserve the spotlight just as much, what if Rodgers comes back for that game?

Look at it this way, Fox gets the Chicago-Green Bay game at 4:30 and assigns Joe Buck to it.

Do you really want to hear Joe Buck call the Eagles biggest game in 3-4 years?

Uhh.. that’s not gonna work for me. I already have plans sunday night. Think the cell network at the garden can support me watching the game on Hoodstream?
