Video: DeSean Jackson helping one victim of bullying

Nov 26, 2013, 12:09 PM EDT

source: DeSean Jackson is something of a lightning rod athlete in the city of Philadelphia. He electrifies on the field with his speed but also raises some eyebrows at times with some of the things he does or says.

We stumbled upon this video of DeSean making the effort to help one local kid who was the victim of bullying and thought it worth passing along. If we’re going to point out when athletes do boneheaded things, it’s only fair to show when they make a difference in someone’s life.

The boy’s mother reached out to Jackson hoping for a letter or email in response but instead DJacc showed up at his football practice and later brought him to an Eagles-Cowboys game. The piece, which appears to be produced by EA Sports, isn’t incredibly put together or anything, but the reaction from the young boy is fantastic and great to see.

Poor kid thought his pain was over but had to be on the sidelines for that craptastic game against Dallas.

      Good on ya DJack!
