Watching hundreds of other people shovel snow at the Linc is way more fun than actually shoveling

Alternative post title if we were a New Orleans sports blog: Hundreds stockpile ammo to be targeted at Saints on Saturday night

Shoveling snow is the worst. It hurts your back. You get all sweaty. Then it snows again and you have to go back out and do it all again. Your floor gets all wet and dirty from the salt. It’s no fun. No fun at all. But sitting on your couch with your feet up on the coffee table and watching hundreds of guys shovel snow at the Linc? That’s kind of fun!

So enjoy this footage from the Linc on Friday where hundreds gathered to clear the facility of all that damn snow we got on Thursday night and early Friday morning. Plus, there’s some bonus footage of the giant Eagles cutouts down at the Art Museum.

Sounds fun.

Game time temps for tomorrow night if you’re curious? Between 22 and 24 degrees.

Also sounds fun.

Did the folks who shoveled get any privileges for doing so? Like…tickets to Saturday’s game?

I’m pretty sure they’re paid employees of some sort.

I ask because ! swear something like this happened years ago: There was a huge snowstorm a couple of days before a big game, the Eagles invited people from the community to help shovel snow, and in exchange they got comped standing room tickets.

It was the NFC Champ game vs Atlanta in ’05. Sweet hook-up for the shovelers.

That sucks! It was so cold out there! Hopefully like Clare asked, they get some sort of compensation!

Also, that is so cool we do that with the cut-outs in front of the Art Museum!! (I am from West Chester so I don’t make it to Center City often)
