Chris Pronger’s brother Sean has been all over Deadspin the
past couple days to promote his book Journeyman, which is about his eight-year
NHL career and life in hockey. If there are more stories like the time he was
hungover the day he unexpectedly became Wayne Gretzky’s linemate for a
practice, it might be a pretty decent read.

Sean took questions from commenters on Friday, and naturally
one of the first things he was poked and prodded on is his brother’s health and
future. No surprise, he does not believe a return to the Flyers is in the cards
for Chris.

Q: Do you think Chris is done playing
hockey?
A: I don't think he'll play again
but what do I know

Q: How is your brother doing? Any
chance he can return to the ice?
A: He's getting better. I doubt
he's coming back

It’s neither confirmation nor earth-shattering news exactly,
at least to anybody who has been following Pronger’s recovery from post-concussion
syndrome. His brother’s comments certainly lend further credence to the feeling
that we’ve seen the last of him in Orange & Black, or any uniform for that
matter.

Of course, the best info is Chris is improving. That’s all
anybody should really hope for.
