CSNPhilly's Tim Panaccio reports that Flyers GM Paul Holmgren was in a bicycle accident while in Avalon today, suffering broken ribs and a broken shoulder. Sounds like a pretty nasty crash, and Homer has been transported to Cooper Hospital. That's about all anyone's heard so far, but we'll update as we hear more. Hopefully Homer's OK.
Update: Panotch is now reporting that Holmgren is "sore, but in good spirits." James van Reimsdyk even tweeted that Homer was wearing a helmet. The Flyers' GM remains remains in Cooper Hospital at this time, but it sounds as if he's going to be just fine.
Really, it's going to take something more than a little bike accident to keep Paul Holmgren down.
