Dec 3, 2011, 6:15 PM EDT

Ilya Bryzgalov will return to Phoenix tonight for the first time as a member of the Flyers to take on the team he spent four seasons with, becoming the Coyotes all-time wins leader. Bryz beat his former team a few weeks on November 17th back in Philadelphia when he made 30 saves and Matt Read made his day (pictured) with the game winner.

Ilya Bryzgalov will return to Phoenix tonight for the first time as a member of the Flyers to take on the team he spent four seasons with, becoming the Coyotes all-time wins leader in the process. Bryz beat his former team a few weeks ago on November 17th in Philadelphia when he made 30 saves and Matt Read made his day (pictured) with the game winner.

The Flyers goalie will make his first back-to-back start of the season for the orange and black. He was shaky early in last night’s contest in Anaheim but bounced back to finish up strong and allowed the offense to come back and get an overtime victory.

From the game notes on the Coyotes:

Coyotes: 13-8-3 (Fourth in Pacific Division, Eighth in Western Conference)

The Coyotes, on Thursday, fell to the Jets 1-0. Goalie Mike Smith made 30 saves in the Coyotes’ shutout loss.

Radim Vrbata has scored six goals in his last seven games. Vrbata leads Phoenix with 12 goals.

Puck drops at 8:00 EST from Jobing.com Arena. Yes, I just went to see what was at that URL.

It’d be nice if they could get off to a little bit of a better start tonight. Go Flyers.

In the 6 games since the Flyers last faced PHX, they have trailed after the first period in 5 of those games, outscored a combined 11-2.
