Watch Wayne Simmonds Gordie Howe Hat Trick Against the Penguins

Prior to tonight's game in Pittsburgh, Wayne Simmonds talked about the rivalry games with the Pens being the types of contests he loves to play in. He showed it in the first two periods by going out and scoring a goal, dropping gloves with Tanner Glass, and later assisting on the go-ahead goal to complete the Gordie Howe Hat Trick.

Whiny Pierre was saying during the fisticuffs what a great move this was for Glass to get Simmonds off the ice but I'm not sure Pierre saw Tanner getting PUNCHED IN THE FACE as he said it.

I suppose the Gordie Hat Trick kind of helps make Pierre's point, but who cares about logic when Simmer is pounding away like a boss.

It was the third Gordie Howe Hat Trick of the season in the NHL and the second of Simmer's career.

He later added a second goal to his night in the third period.

Love that guy.
