I have like four things going on in my life: Temple athletics, professional wrestling, Batman comics and that one show on A&E where the two guys from Boston argue with each other until they can flip a house. This qualifies as two of the four.

Former Temple Owl Morkeith Brown, per OwlsDaily, has signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment.

The 28-year-old Brown (6-5, 255) reportedly turned an invitation to Tampa Bay Bucs training camp in order to try his luck with pro wrestling. He’ll likely still be headed to Florida, however, to train at the new WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

If you’re unfamiliar with his story, Brown joined the Army out of high school and was deployed to Afghanistan for 14 months from 2005-2006. He enrolled at Temple in 2007, before joining the football team in 2008.

Brown bounced back and forth between offense and defense — he played as a tight end as a junior — before finally settling at defensive end his senior year, starting all 13 games when he served as a team captain.

He spent time with the Bucs in training camp last summer, before spending this past Arena League season with the Soul.

I advocate him using Monty Brown’s old finisher. Congrats to Morkeith.

Monty can tackle better than any Eagle on the roster right now.
