In Which La Salle Baller Jerrell Williams Reps His Ghetto

Share

We were turned on to this one by a current student of THE La Salle University. Behold Jerrell and Terrell Williams, or as they're known in the video below, "J-Will" and "T-Will."

In what can only be described as "yet another" rendition of Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow," the brothers wax philosophic on their hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. Cruising the streets of the "9-7-3" in their Nissan Rogue, the duo tackles issues ranging from "chasing dough" to...well, mostly chasing dough.

Watch the official "Rep Ya' Ghetto" music video after the jump...

As a bit of background, Jerrell recently completed his four years of eligibility at La Salle with an average of exactly 10-points-per-game in 24.3 minutes of action. Fittingly enough given the circumstances for which we currently discuss he and his brother, Jerrell actually played alongside Terrell for approximately half his career as an Explorer. Unfortunately, Terrell would be suspended just eleven games into his Junior season after a violation of an unreported university policy, never to return to the floor in the Blue and Gold.

According to our friend Phil, who informed us of the song and currently reps his own hood in the "2-1-5" of Huntingdon Valley, "Rep Ya Ghetto" caught on in a big way throughout the party scene on Olney Ave in 2011. We can only hope to prove a small part in expanding its reach.

Just for the record, some of the language in the video falls into the NSFW category. So, perhaps it's best to enjoy in ya' own ghetto, so to speak. Your living room, for example.

"You know what it is / Paterson, New Jersey up in this bitch."
