Penn State to No Longer Play ‘Sweet Caroline' at Beaver Stadium

Penn State's football program will be forever changed by the tragic events of the Jerry Sandusky era. One minor tweak that may not be all that bad is the decision to ditch the tradition of singing "Sweet Caroline" at Beaver Stadium.

The Altoona Mirror writes that the Neil Diamond tune will not be included in the stadium playlist this season, adding that "Some concerns by university officials about its lyrics - 'touching you
touching me' - and the perception of people singing along to them in
light of the recent scandal have been expressed."

This leaves more time for the Imperial March.
