  1. Monday Extras: Seeing Red

    Sep 18, 2006, 10:00 AM EDT

Sometimes a change from green to red is a good thing.  Red means go, remember? The Phillies step up and sweep the Astros.  I think it’s safe to say that this is not the same Phillies team from 2005.  Ryan Howard went yard to take his total to 57.  I can’t comment much further on…

  2. Dallas Ticket Prices Just Plummeted

    Sep 18, 2006, 12:19 AM EDT

Those who paid insane prices for Dallas tickets are kicking themselves right now because T.O. broke his finger in Sunday nights game against Washington.  T.O. says he’ll be out 2-4 weeks.  The Cowboys play in Philadelphia in 3 weeks.  You might have to save your popcorn until Christmas.

  3. Writer Just Your Average Philly Columnist

    Sep 18, 2006, 12:13 AM EDT

As some of you may have noticed, Inquirer columnist Frank Fitzpatrick wrote a piece on Friday titled "Morning Bytes: Blogger just your average Philly fan" which took a look at the live blogging I did for the Eagles season opener over at AOL’s Fanhouse.  I felt Mr. Fitzpatrick was rather off base with many of…

  5. Football Friday

    Sep 15, 2006, 5:00 AM EDT

It’s not often you have a huge game in week 2.  You could argue this wasn’t a huge game, but the Eagles have a chance to make a statement in the NFC East.  Starting out 2-0 with the Giants and either the Cowboys or Skins starting off 0-2 would be a perfect start to the…

  6. Views From the Fanhouse

    Sep 14, 2006, 10:00 AM EDT

Some of my recent Fanhouse postings as well as a look at some of the other quality stuff over there from other teams: Donovan on the Run is Dangerous When Will T.O. Blow? Don’t Stand Next to Bruce Perry in a Thunder Storm Andy Reid is The Man: ‘Watch This Elswhere in the Fanhouse: Troy…

  7. Phillies Have a Fightin’ Chance

    Sep 14, 2006, 4:40 AM EDT

Wednesday was a big day for the Phils.  It started off ugly, with Randy Wolf getting off to a horrible start and only lasting 2 innings.  They came back from being down 5-0 early in the first game of yesterday’s double header in Atlanta.  Eude Brito replaced him and pitched 4 straight innings of no…

  8. Beware of Back Up Kicker

    Sep 13, 2006, 2:46 PM EDT

One of my roommates in college was a back up kicker.  He went to practice everyday for four years and kicked behind some really good kickers.  I always wondered if he ever thought about stabbing the first string kicker in order to get a chance to get into a big game against Miami U or…

  9. Philadelphia Weekly: Bird Brains

    Sep 13, 2006, 9:43 AM EDT

Daniel McQuade writes a nice little article for the Philadelphia Weekly about the absurd prices of Eagles tickets.  I’m in there talking about my luck of getting a ticket to the Dallas game through Ticketmaster.  I swear I’m not going to the game by myself.  Just for the record, I would never pay anything much…

  10. Primeau to Retire

    Sep 12, 2006, 10:31 PM EDT

I first heard it reported on 610 WIP that Al Morganti had sources saying Keith Primeau is set to retire. is also reporting it will happen in the next day or two. "I’ve had [retirement] discussions with my wife and I will have something more to say about it either [Wednesday] or Thursday," Primeau…

  11. Citizens Bank Park Ranks 15h in Fan Value

    Sep 12, 2006, 2:13 PM EDT

Howard Up, Chase at first    Originally uploaded by emc303. Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park came in at 15th in Sports Illustrated’s rankings of fan value at a baseball game.  What hurt Philly the most was cost.  CBP ranked poorly in both average ticket price and price of concessions and souvenirs.   We scored highly in…

  12. Monday was Slow for Philly Sports

    Sep 12, 2006, 4:06 AM EDT

With San Diego inactive, the Phils remain 2.5 back, but the Marlins moved to only 2 back of the Padres.  No games for the Philly sports teams last night. Andy Reid totally calls his shot here.  Awesome ball fake by Donovan McNabb and a great sell by BWest.  Does the commentator really call him Brian…
