After Wilting In Houston, Phils Turn to Cliff Lee In New York

Share

The Phillies play the Mets tonight in New York. What's wild is that even after dropping 3 of 4 in Houston over the weekend to the lowly Astros they're still not totally dead. I mean, they're absolutely in need of a miracle, but the other team's vying for the second wild card spot simply won't put them out of their misery.

I don't know. I'm certainly not encouraged by anything this team did in Houston, and I am kind of out of things to say about this team. How about you? Are you feeling anything aside from indifference about this team at this point?

I can't recall one weekend series sucking so much hope out of this fanbase in ages.

The Phillies will turn to Cliff Lee (5-7, 3.36) tonight who has been absolutely stellar in his last four starts (3-0, 0.99) as the Phils face Cy-hopeful R.A. Dickey (18-5, 2.68). If nothing else, watching Cliff tonight will still be worth tuning in for, I'd say.
