Cole Hamels Looks For Bounce Back Performance, Series Win Against Braves

Share

Cole Hamels took his booing in stride after Phillies fans showed
their displeasure with Cole's rough first outing of the season at
Citizens Bank Park last week when he gave up six runs and didn't even
last three innings against the Mets. Hamels is well aware of the fact he
has to improve upon that performance dramatically and he'll get a
chance to get back on track this afternoon against the Braves.

Hamels (0-1, 20.25) will face Braves RHP Derek Lowe (1-1, 0.77) who
is already making his third start of the young season. As for the bats,
the only change in today's lineup
is Charlie giving Michael Martinez the start at second base in place of
Wilson Valdez who has been steady to start the season. 1:35 start from
Turner Field. Just keep winning series.
