Game Chat: Cliff Lee Pitches On Hunter Pence Bobblehead Night

Share

The Phillies bats look to pick up where the left off on Monday night when they put up 10 runs for the first time in 69 games (!) by defeating the Reds 12-5 at Citizens Bank Park (per Elias). Yes, Phillies fans, it *had* been a while.

They got a lot of that production from their 3-4-5 hitters with Utley (2), Howard (2), and Mayberry (3) putting up the most RBIs out of those spots in the lineup all season.

Cliff Lee (2-7, 3.83) has struggled mightily at home this season and is still looking for his first win at CBP since September of 2011.

What's been his issue? The long ball is certainly one of them.

Lee has surrendered 11 homers over his last 5 starts (36.2 IP) after allowing 11 HR in his first 16 starts of the season (111.1 IP) ... His 11 HR allowed are the most in the majors since July 24 ... Overall, Lee’s 22 HR allowed are his most since 2006 (29 HR) and 4th-most in the NL

Ouch.

He'll face, uh... Home Bailey (10-8, 4.16) for the Reds tonight.

Here's you're lineup: Rollins, Pierre, Utley, Howard, Mayberry, Brown, Frandsen, Kratz, and Lee.

7:05 start. Get your Pence bobble while he's gone.
