New Marlins Theme Is Either Awesomely Terrible or Terribly Awesome

Before we begin, just to recap how the re-branding of the Miami Marlins has gone thus far, we've written about this (twice), CSNPhilly's Dave Zangaro has made fish puns about this (seven of them), and now, Marlins fans are reportedly split over this...
Unsure how we missed it, but apparently a new "Miami Marlins Theme Song" was uploaded to YouTube late last month.
In the intervening weeks, Miami's PR staff has publicly distanced itself from the track, stating that the anthem is not their official fight song and "has nothing to do with the team." Then, just yesterday, the young woman who wrote the theme -- entitled "We Are The Marlins" -- admitted that she was blind-sided by the public backlash to her work, but nonetheless resolved that she and her creative team "believe in the song."

Lyrics via the song's YouTube description:

M-A-R-L-I-N-S! We are the Marlins! GO FISH!
Everything is great in the Sunshine State
We've got the Marlins, the Miami Marlins
So get up and let's go -- let everybody know that we are the Marlins - The Miami Marlins!
Catch the wave! Cheer the boys (We are the Marlins! GO Fish!)
Stomp your feet and let's make some noise!
We are the Marlins, the Miami Marlins
Make a date with the Marlins -- those Miami Darlins
Let's go Marlins!
Black Yellow Orange and Blue - We are coming after you!
Catch the wave! Cheer the boys (We are the Marlins! GO Fish!)
Stomp your feet and let's make some noise!
We are the Marlins, the Miami Marlins
Make a date with the Marlins -- those Miami Darlins
Let's go Marlins!
M-A-R-L-I-N-S! We are the Marlins! GO FISH!

As for the overwhelmingly negative reaction from the Marlins' diehards, we're just assuming they still prefer this unofficial creed to the new one:
