In by far the most exciting news of the Phillies’ season, the Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno, will be throwing out the first pitch at Citizens Bank Park on Thursday night when the Phillies meet the Red Sox at 7:05.

Ferrigno will be in town as part of the Philadelphia Comic Con from Thursday, May 30 to Sunday, June 2 at the Convention Center.

Lou — as you likely know, and if not then shame on you — starred opposite Bill Bixby in the TV version of The Incredible Hulk from 1977 to 1982. Bixby played Dr. Bruce Banner and Ferrigno played the Hulk when Banner would freak out and turn into a big green dude in purple pants.

Hulk smash/pitch.

@the700level I can’t wait to hear Lou Ferrigno talk to Charlie Manuel before the game. A translator from the UN will be required.

i dont get the joke… is it because Ferrigno is deaf and uses hearing aids, so his speech isn’t as sharp as yours? if so, that’s hilarious.
