Jrue Holiday Continues to Grow, Has Big Aspirations

With the rumblings that the NBA lockout could potentially be nearing an end, hoops fans are getting the itch. Nowhere is that more true than in Sixers circles where fans of Doug Collins' squad are anxious to see the young squad's growth continue, to start fresh with a new season.

Slam Online's Tzvi Twersky caught up with Jrue Holiday recently to talk about his summer, his growth, his aspirations, and what parts of his game he's been working on. But my favorite part was when Jrue echoed the sentiments of Sixers fans, noting he just wants to get back out there and continue the transformation, getting better everyday.

SLAM: Assuming that there is a season, what do you have set in sight for the team and you personally?

JH: For one, to start off where we left off. To
start off quick. Last year we started off slow, so I just want to start
off quick. We have all the confidence in the world, I feel. We had an
awesome year. So just doing that, progressing throughout the year and
growing. Last year was just growth. For me, it’s to be in a top spot, to
bring something to the game that I haven’t before. I want to bring a
different dynamic. I’m gonna do anything I can do to help our team win.

But when will we get to see it?
