Justin Mapp, who struck two goals from distance, was voted the MLS Player of the Week for Match Week 11. Amazingly, it's been almost six years between Player of the Week awards for Mapp. He last won the honor back in Week 23 of the 2005 season. Full marks to Mapp for his performance on Saturday.
Lord knows I've questioned his inclusion in the lineup recently. It was nice to see him aggressively take the space given to him and pull the trigger from distance.
