Videos: Conor Casey’s Beautiful Diving Header Plus Sheanon Williams’ Nifty Finish

Wednesday night was a tough one for local soccer haters after the Union’s offense exploded for three goals in their victory over the Columbus Crew down at PPL Park in Chester (more here). It was a picturesque evening for some footie on the river.

The first goal from Brian Carroll was a fairly routine rip which deflected in, while the final two goals from Sheannon Williams and Conor Casey were beauts. We’ve got the videos for you below.

Somewhat shockingly, Jack McInerney was kept scoreless. He did have an amazing opportunity with plenty of open net in front of him, but he simply couldn’t put the ball on frame. It was a tough one to watch.

    I liked Casey’s “old man” celebration, which consisted of slowly getting up and lumbering toward the group of elated teammates.

    Great match last night. Union did everything well.
