Our pal Jon Greenberg of ESPNChicago tweeted the above shortly after the Flyers traded two draft picks to Toronto for forward Kris Versteeg. Clearly all of you are familiar with the supremely talented Black Thought of the Legendary Roots Crew, but what exactly does Kris Versteeg have to do with a microphone? [video below]
Versteeg was a member of the Chicago Blackhawks team that went on to defeat the Flyers last June to become Stanley Cup Champions and was a fan (least) favorite for his attempts to spit lyrics.
Take this video of a Blackhawks victory celebration during which Versteeg showed off his (complete lack of) skills when rapping some sort of something or other he apparently wrote himself.
